Scholarship Guidelines

 

 

Qualifications and Guidelines

 

1.  Applicant must be a senior in high school or enrolled in a college or university.

 

2.  Applicant must be of Mexican-American or Latin-American descent.

 

3.  Applicant must live in Lubbock or the surrounding area.

 

4.  Applicant must submit a current transcript along with the application.

 

5.  Applicant must write an essay about the influence of their Hispanic heritage in

     their lives.

 

6.  Past recipients of the “Si Se Puede” scholarship may not re-apply. 

 

 

Applicants will be interviewed by a panel of judges which will be scheduled after the August 22 deadline.  Scholarships will be awarded prior to the September 15^th Fiestas.  Recipients will be notified by mail and/or phone call.
